Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1 : PLEIKU – KONTUM

Greeting at the airport in Pleiku, then departure to Kontum. The way leads through rice fields and countryside landscapes of Vietnam. Check in hotel in Kontum.

In the afternoon we discover the wooden church of Kontum. Its architecture style is a mixture between the local Bahnar and western Roman culture. Afterwards we visit the Kon Klor suspension bridge and the village of the Bahnars. Dinner. Free time and overnight at hotel.

DAY 2 : KONTUM – KONTU VILLAGE

Transfer to the Konktu village, which is located 8km from Kontum. The trek begins with crossing the Bahnar villages, rivers and cassava fields. Picnic lunch upstream of the Dakbla river.

Then we take a boat to Konktu and experience the local life of the ethnic groups. The evening is dedicated to a Gong show, a popular instrument of the ethnic groups of the highlands accompanied by tasting local wine in the common house (Rong). Overnight in the stilt houses of the Bahnars.

DAY 3 : KONKTU – KONTUM – PLEIKU

Early departure for the return trip to Kontum. We continue towards Yachim which lies 20km from Kontum. We visit the villages of the Jarai ethnicity: Plei Ko Lei and Plei We. Discover the habits and daily life of the people (common house, tomb, sepulcher, ...).

Lunch together in the house of the Jarai. In the afternoon, we visit the Yaly lake where the hydroelectric plant of central Vietnam is located. Departure to Pleiku. Arrival and overnight hotel.

DAY 4 : PLEIKU - BUON DON - BUON ME THUOT

Departure to the village of Buon Don, you will get the opportunity to cross a suspension bamboo bridge over the Srépok river (length 250 m). Discover the culture of the Mnong Laos, an ethnic group from the center, and the history of Khunjunop, nicknamed the "elephant hunting king". Visit Vietnam's largest elephant training school.

A ride on an elephant around the village of the Rhades, one of the numerous ethnic groups in the Highlands, offers an unforgettable experience in the middle of the Highlands region. We return to Buon Me Thuot. We visit the Tham Khai Doan Pagoda and the Ako Dhong village, one of the most developed villages in agriculture and crafts in the Highlands. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 5 : BUON ME THUOT - HO CHI MINH CITY

Transfer to the airport of Buon Ma Thuot for the flight back to Ho Chi Minh City.

End of excursion
